WINES
Gernot Kollmann has been making the wines at Immich Batterieberg since 2009 and slowly rebuilding the reputation of Enkirch with his fantastic wines.
Immich-Batterieberg own four vineyards on exceptionally steep, Mosel slopes. Three of which (Ellergrub, Zeppwigert and Batterieberg) are found on a quartzite-rich slate, with Steffensberg vineyard on more iron-rich slate.
The approach is somewhat Burgundian: producing many single vineyard bottlings to express the individual terroir of each site. All wines are vegan and certified organic. These wines are extremely ageworthy wines and can be decanted when under 5 years old.
