WINES

The Santa Maria estate was started in 1850 and has been selling it’s own labelled wine since the 1930's. All of the wines produced comes from their 3 hectare plot of Capalòt and is aged in 10 hectolitre Botti, after one year the wine is tasted to decide if it’ll be bottled early for Nebbiolo or continue its journey to Barolo. Walter now runs the estate and is an introverted man with a great smirking humour about him. His wines are gorgeously fragrant and generously fruited.
