Alessandria Silvio, Barolo 'Bricco Chiesa', 2019
Barolo DOCG
La Morra
100% Nebbiolo
Enzo and Cinzia now run the Silvio family estate named after Enzo’s dad. Based in the village of Santa Maria, a cooler area of the La Morra commune. The estate was the first to produce a single vineyard Bricco Chiesa wine in 1976 and Enzo now farms just his 1.5 hectare plot of this vineyard having given up his 1 hectare Capalot plot in 2023 to Luigi Oddero. Enzo has no heirs and so these magnificent, tightly fruited wines will only be made until he retires in a couple of years. All wines are made in his 12sqm cellar with zero racking, nor additions - simply time in botti.
